About Me

I am a soon to be graduate from the University of Alabama. Being that I am passionate about sports, I want to dedicate my time, working in sports production. I was a former intern for The Tuscaloosa News as their only videographer which granted me access to cover Alabama Athletics. Currently I am a MMJ for WVUA 23 News which presents me the opportunity to cover local current events. I have gained a great deal of experience, with this knowledge I have become a fast-leaner, creative, and great communicator so in the future I will be resourceful to seeking employers.

You have read about me professionally so personally you may want to know more about me. Hi, I’m Sa’Riah Ponder, I am the oldest of two. For seven year, I was the only child. How does that have any significance? I grew up being a daddy’s girl. As a coach’s daughter this is how my love for sports became. Going from gymnastics to dance to basketball all in one day helped me to change and adapt quickly. My curiosity grew which later made me, a southern girl have an interest in a northern state sport like lacrosse. Life is a classroom and sports are the subject, it can definitely teach a lesson or two. I circle back around to say I am learning and growing and trying to enjoy the process the most.
